Cavanaghs Stockmaster Transport Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team, completing repairs and maintenance of fleet trucks and trailers. The successful applicant will need the required skills to monitor a large fleet of Kenworth trucks, with the utmost care taken in providing workshop Maintenance and Repairs.
Responsibilities
Key aspects of the role
- Carry out on site service and repair work on Heavy Diesel Machinery in a safe and professional manner
- Diagnosing and Repairing of various engines
- Submit accurate job cards and repair orders in accordance with company deadlines
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety and Environmental policies & procedures
- May include some rostered on call time working afterhours and weekends
- Opportunity for Overtime available

Qualifications &Â Experience
Qualifications and Experience
- Current Drivers Licence (MC preferred or willing to obtain)
- Can handle pressure and is able to work to a deadline, mature and level headed
- Sound Attention to Detail
- Strong ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Excellent service skills and proactive approach
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior Cummins experience desirable
- Welding Experience desirable

- First Aid Certificate
- Heavy Vehicle Licence (or willing to obtain)
- Experience working with Air Conditioners / Icepacks
